Resumen

  • After nitrogen phosphorus (P) is the major nutrient limiting plant development in agriculture, and it has been applied in large amounts to increase yields ofsugarcane. In tropical soils, P is commonly immobilized and this limits it is availability to plants. To improve phosphate fertilization, organic phosphorus sources, for example, the compost of the sucro-energetic industries waste has been used with promising results. Phosphate-mobilizing bacteria (PMB) can increase the availability of soil phosphorus through solubilization of phosphate bounded to Fe, Al and Ca and mineralization of P present in organic matter. increasing the availability to the plant, despite the positive results in othercultures, there are no studies evaluating its use in sugarcane. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of PSB inoculation on sugar cane plants testing different P sources.
