I have got a B.Sc degree in Economics (1999) from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. I graduated as Master of Science in Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2002). In 2013 I finished my doctoral studies on Applied Economics at the FRE Department from the University of Florida.

Regarding my working experience, I worked for the Colombian Government for two years at the Contraloría General de la República CGR (2000-2002). Afterwards, I joined the Colombian private sector. I worked for the Colombian Federation of Cattle Ranchers, Fedegan (2002 - 2003). Since October the 1st 2003 to date, I have been working for Cenipalma. However, during the lapse 2009 to 2013 I was on Studies Commission at the University of Florida, where I graduated as Ph.D. Once I finished my doctoral studies, I joined Cenipalma, where I lead the Agricultural Economics team.
