  • Ms. Jaime Romany, Project Technical Officer IICA-CBF EbA Project speaks on addressing climate action in the agriculture sector using vetiver grass as a green engineering and Nature-based Solution that can help reduce soil erosion and improve water conservation and contribute to reducing the vulnerability of farming systems while generating additional income through the development of a vetiver green business.
    Mr. Kent Coipel, Technical Specialist at the IICA Delegation in Dominica shares his experiences of implementing vetiver grass as a green engineering and Nature-based solution for reducing soil erosion and enhancing water conservation on mountainous islands such as Dominica.
    Mr. Craig Thomas, National Specialist at the IICA Delegation in Antigua and Barbuda briefly speaks on some of the applications of the Vetiver System residential and commercial landscaping for beautification purposes while improving slope stabilization and also its application in agriculture as a mulch for increasing soil moisture and weed suppression. Mr. Thomas then delves into the use of vetiver grass as a sustainable green business option.
