Maxmiliano Ortega is the Specialist in Technology and Innovation for the IICA Belize Office, He currently holds a master's degree in agriculture diversification with emphasis on horticulture/fruitculture. He was the chairman of the Belize Organic Producers Organization - BOPA (2010) and have assisted the various organic movements through the training in organic certification. He's written one practical manual in IICA "Installation of low cost polyethylene biodigesters" and has given international training in the subject matter. He is currently providing support to the Cacao industry through the development of a value chain analysis.
