Resumen
- Citrus exocortis viroid (CEVd) is the causal agent of the exocortis disease, which affects tree size and diminishes citrus production. To diagnose this disease, PAGE, RT-PCR, and hybridization biological and molecular methods have been used of nucleic acids, with hybridization being one of the most reliable. This research sought to standardize the Northern-blot technique for the diagnosis of CEVd in Tahiti acid lime plants from commercial nurseries and orchards in the departments of Santander, Valle del Cauca, and Tolima (Colombia).
