Resumen
- The report provides recommendations on improving agriculture GHG inventory reporting in the Caribbean region. It offers general guidance and tools on institutional setup, data collection, and gap filling, quality control processes, monitoring and reporting, and capacity building. It also identifies livestock population data, synthetic fertilizer data, manure management data, and crop management data as priority datasets that need improved data collection across the region. Gaps in data are an issue, and the report provides guidance on splicing techniques to complete the time-series data. Only a few countries have a quality assurance and quality control plan, so guidance is provided on developing a plan, along with a list of Tier 1 quality checks. Additionally, it highlights the need for capacity building, including training in agriculture GHG compilation, data collection, and QA/QC. Finally, the report provides guidance on how countries can work together to address common challenges faced by agriculture inventory compilers in the region.
