On 1 August 2015 our medical faculties were restructured to best meet the future needs of our biomedical teaching and research.

Two new faculties were created - the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences - replacing the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and Faculty of Medical and Veterinary Sciences.

The Faculty of Health Sciences delivers the three professional programmes of Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science via four schools and one cross-disciplinary centre:

• Oral and Dental Sciences
• Social and Community Medicine
• Veterinary Sciences
• Centre for Comparative and Clinical Anatomy
