Resumen

  • Webinar focusing on scientific advances, surveillance strategies, and regional preparedness for the prevention and control of African Swine Fever (ASF) and Classical Swine Fever (CSF) in the Americas. The event outlines a biological risk and biosecurity assessment project in Trinidad and Tobago, focused on airport food waste management and the risk of exposure in landfills involving feral pigs. Additionally, it highlights the development in Mexico of a quantitative computing platform (programmed in R) to simulate and model introduction routes of transboundary diseases, concluding with the design of community communication campaigns and early warning systems to protect the swine sector.
