The GCF-Readiness Project “Strengthening the foundation for a climate responsive agricultural sector in the Caribbean” aims to promote Caribbean agriculture as a low-emissions solution to climate change. The project has identified barriers including ineffective mechanisms, policy gaps, and limited data to inform climate risks planning, programming, and action. The objectives of the project include: Improve conditions for climate action in agriculture, identify and develop bankable projects aligned with climate risk assessments, and disseminate best practices for resilience building. The results will be used to develop a National Action Plan for improving the agriculture Green House Gas inventory.
