Resumen
- Payments for Environmental Services (PES) Program has been implemented in Mexico for the last ten years; although the indigenous communities represent the 20% of the beneficiary population, it has not been analysed the PES program outcomes within this group. This study proposes to analyze the link between the PES outcomes and the identity and language variables in four zapotecas communities located in Oaxaca (Mexico). The main result suggests that the preservation of identity and language reduce the possibility to perceive positive PES program outcomes.
