Laurenzo Tirtopawiro is currently the Agriculture Technology and Innovation Specialist at IICA-Suriname. He is an Agronomist graduated in 2012 at the Universidad Agraria de La Habana, Cuba. He coordinated the field production for the cassava processing plant. He worked with Rural Communities in enhancing livelihood exposing them to modern technologies for production, processing of the root crop. He collaborated in the soil and water management pilot project on degraded mined-out soils in the hinterland of Suriname. With the Rural Women producers he worked in strengthening the capacity on packaging and labeling of the agriculture produce.
