This paper examines gender disparities in Colombia’s agricultural sector, focusing on differences in labor participation, wages, and income generation. Women are significantly underrepresented in agricultural employment and earn substantially lower incomes than men across different regions and qualification levels. The study analyzes the factors driving these inequalities and provides evidence to support policies aimed at promoting gender equality, empowering women in agriculture, and strengthening the sector’s contribution to economic and social development.
