Her area of work is in soil physics and water retention capacity of heterogeneous soils. She is the Scientific Director of the "peatlands, soils and sustainable development" branch of the Coastal Zones Research Institute (CZRI affiliated to the university of Moncton) at Shippagan (NB, Canada), a position she has held since april 2016. CZRI is a New-Brunswick non lucrative organization dedicated to applied and innovative research in peatlands, agriculture, aquaculture, marine products. It also provide services in microbiology and chemistry analyses. The mission of the "peatlands and soils" branch is to be in tune to the needs of the peat, agriculture and horticulture industries in order to provide specialized services in applied research while maintaining the respect and preservation of our soils and wetlands. CZRI collaborates with several canadian peatland industry, the department of agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries of New-Brunswick. Dre Tétégan Simon has more than 60 publications associated with her area of expertise.
