Bertha Gail McLaren is a Spanish Translator at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, based at the IICA Office in Jamaica.  Ms. McLaren holds a M.A. in Spanish Translation from the University of the West Indies (Mona, Jamaica) and a B.A. Honors in Mass Communications and in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Ottawa (Canada).  Her current position focuses primarily on institutional and technical translation.  However, her broad-based training and expertise covers the areas of Broadcasting and Media Production (TV/ Radio); Writing and Conceptualizing, Story Editing, and Production Management.
