Nuah Makungu is a sociologist, an anthropologist (African studies) and an economist in agricultural development trained at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (France).
Presently, he  is a part-time professor of Social science at the University of  Ottawa. He holds a Doctorate (a Ph.D) in Social science, Sociology, and a master of advanced studies in social science (anthropology of development and sociology of development); a master of advanced studies in Agricultural development from the Université Paris I- Panthéon Sorbonne (France).He teaches Social science (Globalization and environment; Development sociology, Globalization: social and anthropological aspects, Sociology of Social Networks and Anthropology of Africa) in the faculty of social science at the University of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada ). He was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but has studied in Paris (France), has lived in Ottawa and has travelled many places (United States, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville, Tanzania, Morocco, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Mexico, etc.) as part of a social researcher life and activist in the International Movement of Catholic students (IMCS)-Pax Romana. He attended the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris), where he graduated with honours (Mention Très Honorable). He has big heart and thoroughly enjoys caring needs of people of all ages. His research interests include African studies and Globalization (china-Africa), food security in African developing countries and in Quebec (Canada), Social Networks, Sociology of cooperation, Women and gender (women movements), research methodology in Social Science.
