Since its founding in 1959, the Faculty of Science has become a research leader nationally and internationally.

Waterloo Science research has been featured by local, national and global media, including CBC’s Quirks and Quarks, BBC Nature and on the cover of Scientific American.

The Faculty of Science also values its outstanding faculty, students, rich student education experience and engaging community outreach events. 

The Faculty is proud to announce the new 215,000 square foot Science Teaching Complex opened for classes Winter term 2016, with 11 state-of-the-art teaching labs and 6,000+ square feet dedicated to Science undergraduate learning, student life and clubs.
