This project is being implemented in Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Guyana with support from IICA’s Resilient Agriculture Program. It aims to foster a more sustainable agricultural sector by increasing the awareness and adoption of Climate-Smart Agricultural (CSA) practices among farmers, specifically focusing on techniques that improve soil health and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Additionally, the initiative strengthens institutional capacity by assisting government bodies in identifying the sources of agricultural emissions. By developing a baseline emissions profile for the primary production systems in each country, the project provides the necessary data to support informed climate policy and long-term environmental resilience across the region.
