Abimbola Abiola is the IICA Representative in Haiti. He has a Ph.D. in Microbial Ecology from the University of Regina, Canada. His areas of expertise include environmental waste management, composting, water quality and bio-energy production. In 2004, Abimbola received the International Teaching Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD), University of Texas, United States. He has been an Adjunct Professor at many universities, including Universidad Agroforestal Fernando Arturo de Merino (UAFAM), Dominican Republic; Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (URUZA Campus), Bermejillo, Mexico; the University of Calgary, Canada and the Northeast Agricultural University, Harbin, China.
