Yvette Alonzo has over 18 years working experience in the fields of sustainable agriculture and natural resource management, protected areas, community development, project design and management. She has worked with both government and non-government agencies. She holds a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Socio-Economics with an emphasis in Administration and Management from the Tropical Agriculture Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE). Mrs. Alonzo is the Agriculture Economist and Policy Analyst in the IICA Belize office. She is currently the vice chair of the task force established to oversee the development of the National Agriculture and Food Production Policy 2015-2030.
