Brent Theophile is currently the National Specialist for the IICA Delegation in Saint Lucia. He has a MPhil in Agricultural Economics and a BSc in Agribusiness Management from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. He has worked on market and trade analysis, agricultural sector planning and strategy/policy formulation, productivity enhancement, rural enterprise development, knowledge management and quantitative analysis to inform on decision-making. 

His specialized areas of focus are in fisheries economics (subject area of post-graduate thesis), agricultural economics, agricultural and rural development and policy, entrepreneurship and agribusiness development (especially with women and youth), agriculture innovation, entrepreneurship and food and nutrition security.
