Teaching activities targeting both extension type educational content targeting farmers and technical based targeting University and Diploma Students of Agriculture. Areas related to farmer training include, Organisational Strengthening of Community Groups, which focuses on record keeping, managing meetings, understanding organisational roles, financial management, report, business plan and proposal writing. Extension teaching in crop and livestock production. With reference to crop production, there is the utilization of smart agricultural innovative techniques inclusive of shade house technology, trickle irrigation hydroponics and aquaponics. Livestock production teaching focused on animal/herd management practices.
At the tertiary or University level; University of Guyana in the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, serving as Lecturer, Head of Department (Agriculture and also Forestry on two different occasions), and also as Assistant Dean of Faculty. Lectured in subject areas of Agri-business and Marketing, Agriculture Extension Education, Forest Resource Economics and Business Administration for Forestry. During the period 2008-2011 served as final year project supervisor to Agri-Education Students from the School of Education and Humanities. Research work during sabbatical leave (2011-20120 “Comparative assessment of Dairy Industries of Guyana and Iowa State using the value chain as the assessment tool”; Compiled Course in Sustainable agriculture for small states of the Commonwealth – Male Maldives. Served as Training Coordinator and Manager at the St. Stanislaus Training Centre from 1995-2002.
