Damien Hinds is the National Program Technical Officer at the IICA Barbados Delegation since January 2005. In this capacity he supports the Representative in implementing the IICA technical program for Barbados. Over the years he has developed expertise in the areas of; Protected Agriculture; Sustainable Crop Production specifically organic production and permaculture); Agriculture Waste Management including composting; Apiculture; Digital Agriculture (certified drone pilot) and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. Through these areas he has provided support to the ministry of agriculture and the farming community. Additionally, he has developed and managed a number of projects funded by both IICA and external resources.

As a trained Land Surveyor he brings this skill set to the site planning of agricultural projects.
