Carol Thomas worked as  the IICA International Agricultural Health and Food Safety Specialist in the Barbados Office for the period October 2015 - July 2018. She coordinated IICA's agricultural health and food safety actions for the Caribbean and collaborated with various technical cooperation agencies in the Caribbean Region. She holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, a BSc in Natural Sciences and a Diploma in Education. Her areas of expertise include sanitary and phytosanitary measures and related issues, food safety, good agricultural practices, capacity building and institutional modernization. She is currently retired from IICA and is available for short term consultancies in the various areas mentioned above.
